Equipment

  • 1 grill charcoal or gas
  • 1 mixing bowl medium
  • 1 whisk

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
  • 4 chicken drumsticks bone-in, skin-on
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

White BBQ Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Chicken Preparation

  • Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken pieces.
  • Set your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 350°F. Allow it to preheat while you prepare the sauce.

Make the White BBQ Sauce

  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, horseradish, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Grill the Chicken

  • Place the chicken skin-side down on the preheated grill. Grill for about 7-10 minutes on each side, turning halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Once cooked, dip each piece of chicken into the white BBQ sauce, ensuring a thorough coating. Return to the grill for an additional 2-3 minutes to set the sauce.

Serving & Storage

  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
  • Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
