Equipment

  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 measuring cups

Ingredients

Oatmeal Base

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings

  • 1 apple diced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup walnuts chopped

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, combine rolled oats, almond milk, protein powder, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Continue to cook the oats for 5-7 minutes, or until they reach your desired consistency. If you prefer a thinner oatmeal, add more almond milk a little at a time.

Serving

  • While the oats are cooking, dice the apple and chop the walnuts. Set aside for serving.
  • Divide the cooked oats into bowls. Top each serving with diced apples, a drizzle of honey, and chopped walnuts for a delightful crunch.

Storage

  • If you have any leftover oats, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of almond milk before serving.
  • Prepare a double batch of oats to enjoy throughout the week. Simply reheat individual servings as needed for a quick and nutritious breakfast.
