Ingredients

  • 4 medium yams peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Spices

  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and slice the yams into uniform pieces. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the glaze over the yams and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  • Place the yams in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Once yams are tender, sprinkle mini marshmallows over the top. Return to air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Transfer the yams to a serving dish and enjoy immediately while warm.

  • Allow yams to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
