Ingredients
  

Tiramisu Base

  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur

Mascarpone Mixture

  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup grated chocolate

Preparation

  • Brew a cup of strong coffee and allow it to cool. Stir in the coffee liqueur and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and place them in a single layer in a 9-inch round cake pan. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  • Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, remove the tiramisu from the fridge and dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve. Add grated chocolate for extra flavor.
  • Cut the tiramisu into slices and serve chilled. Enjoy the layers of flavor and creamy texture.
