  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 1 large apple peeled and diced
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the apple. Measure out the oats, protein powder, and other ingredients.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring milk or water to a boil over medium heat.
  • Add the oats to the boiling liquid. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • After 5 minutes, stir in the diced apples and ground cinnamon. Continue cooking until the oats are tender.
  • Once the oats are cooked, stir in the protein powder until fully combined. Adjust consistency with more milk if needed.

Serving

  • Divide the oatmeal into bowls. Drizzle with maple syrup and sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired. Serve warm.

  • Allow leftovers to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
