Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated

Rice

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 cups water

Garnishes

  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix honey, chili flakes, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Add chicken and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook in a rice cooker or pot with water until fluffy.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 7 minutes per side.
  • Pour remaining marinade into the skillet with chicken. Simmer until it thickens into a glaze, about 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Divide rice among bowls. Top with chicken and drizzle with glaze. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Storage

  • Place any leftovers in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
