Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 mixing bowl large
  • 1 small saucepan

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Gochujang Glaze

  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In a small saucepan, combine gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the glaze is smooth and slightly thickened.
  • Remove meatballs from the oven and toss them in the gochujang glaze until well coated. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.

Serving

  • Serve the glazed meatballs hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for an added touch of flavor.

Storage

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
