Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 pot for boiling pasta
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 pound chicken breast sliced
  • 3 cups cooked pasta

Additional Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to break down and release their juices, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked chicken and chopped basil. Allow the flavors to meld together, seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Final Steps

  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top and serve immediately.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water or chicken broth.
